I began my Reiki 'journey' in 2002 and can't imagine a life disentangled from it. Initially, I became attuned to Reiki to confirm that the healing energy I had experienced from childhood really did exist! After this experience, Reiki 11 and finally Master attunement were inevitable. Teaching grew from the desire to spread Reiki to others; so that they could 'inherit' the tools for their own self-development. With this goal in mind I also completed a City & Guilds Teaching qualification in 2008.
Updating my Professional Practitioner course to comply with National Standards was a very sharp 'learning curve' but Reiki must approve as students have increased considerably since the course was verified!
I have also qualified in Psychology and studied Counselling Skills: Have Practitioner qualifications in Reflexology, Indian Head and Hydrotherm Massage. For several years I have been giving Reiki to end-of-life patients at the local Hospice and this, plus Reiki teaching, is where I am at present.
